NetFit vs Trainerize

An honest comparison, not a hit piece.

The biggest name in the category — huge ecosystem, enterprise backing.

Everything we say about our own product is verifiable in the demo studio on this site. Everything we say about competitors comes from their public materials and independent coverage — and every page includes where they genuinely beat us.

How Trainerize prices

The billing model

Entry
Free plan covers 1 client. Grow is $9/month for 2.
Scaling
Per-client tiers: Pro 5 at $23/month scales through Pro 200 at ~$250/month (month-to-month); Studio Plus runs $248–275/month.
Add-ons
Most of what coaches want is an add-on: Advanced Nutrition $20–45/month, video coaching $10/month, Stripe payments $10/month, business automation $25/month. A custom branded app on Pro plans carries a one-time $169 setup fee plus developer-account costs.
Free tier / trial
Free forever for 1 client; 30-day trial of paid plans.

Where Trainerize genuinely wins

Credit where it’s due

  • Ecosystem and integrations. Backed by ABC Fitness, Trainerize connects to far more third-party tools than any young platform can — if deep integrations matter, that lead is real.
  • Gamification and engagement features. Badges, challenges and community mechanics are more developed than most of the category.
  • Large-studio machinery. Studio Plus tiers cover 500+ members per location with multi-location support that solo-coach products simply do not offer.
  • Brand familiarity. It has been the default answer in this category for a decade — onboarding help, tutorials and hiring trainers who already know it are all easier.

Reported friction

What coaches commonly bump into

Sourced from public materials and recurring themes in independent reviews. Your mileage varies — verify anything that matters to you.

  • Add-on stacking: a realistic 50-client stack with nutrition, payments and video lands around $175–200/month before the branded-app fee — several times the headline price.
  • Reviewers commonly report the UI feels dated and can slow down with large data sets.
  • Branded app on Pro tiers means app-store setup costs and waiting on review queues.

The part that actually decides it

Ask any platform — including us — these six questions.

How fast can my clients get the app?

They install it from the browser in seconds — the PWA installs on any phone with offline logging and push. No app store, no review queue. Native iOS and Android apps exist for the same platform.

Whose name is on my clients’ phones?

Yours. Studio name, logo, colors and your own legal URLs are included from the free plan — not an agency-priced add-on.

What happens in a gym basement with no signal?

Workout sets, meals, water, sleep, habits and messages queue offline and sync the moment the connection returns. Offline is a feature, not an error state.

Who pays?

You, optionally. Free for up to 2 clients; Pro at $25/month for 5, Studio at $49.99/month for 50. Clients never pay the platform — they join free through your invite link.

Can my clients use their language?

Multiple languages, enabled per studio — your roster’s languages, not a fixed list set by us.

What happens to my data if I leave?

It’s yours. We never sell personal information, media sits in private storage behind expiring links, and you or your clients can delete the account and its data.
